Special attention is paid to the edge of the blade, as it has a significant influence on the overall appearance. There are different designations for the tsuba edge. Here are the 5 styles that we present as our favourites:

Place 5: Dote Mimi
A rim that is significantly thicker. In this case, round.

4th place: Kaku Dote Mimi
A thicker, angular edge

3rd place: Kaku Mimi
A flat edge

2nd place: Ko Niku Mimi
A slightly curved edge

1st place: Tsuba Rand: Maru Mimi
The "regular" rim, which is probably the most widespread. The rim consists of a semicircle.
