Isao Machii is probably the most famous "samurai" of our time thanks to his numerous worldwide media appearances.
He is also known for his entries in the Guinness Book of Records.
He has several records in connection with cutting exercises with the samurai sword:

Life and martial arts
Isao Machii was born on 20 August 1973 and has been training martial arts since the age of five.
Over time, he developed his own style, which he now teaches himself.
