The international Skyjiro sword forge was founded in 2001.
The purchase of a sword forge in Asia, which has been in existence for 5 generations, laid the foundation for further success.
The Skyjiro forge's product range now includes an extensive selection of first-class samurai swords. The steels used range from traditional Japanese Tamahagane (made from iron sand) and Oroshigane (made from pieces of iron) to steels developed in-house.
In 2007, a co-operation was established with the Japanese-trained swordsmith David Goldberg, who can look back on experience dating back to 1987. He was trained in the Soshu tradition in Gifu, Japan and has continuously refined Skyjiro's forging technique.
Many renowned swordsmiths now work for Skyjiro Forge and advise them in all areas.
Skyjiro Forge was awarded the prestigious Masamune Prize at the Japanese Sword Making Competition in Tokyo for its exceptional swordsmithing skills.
