Product description:
Samurai sword in the Tachi shape.
The tachi sword was the sword of the samurai for many centuries before the shorter katana came into fashion.
These swords were worn on the belt with the cutting edge pointing downwards, which is why they have an elaborately designed suspension on the scabbard.
The relatively large curvature and the slightly longer overall length are also typical of the tachi.
The blade was forged by hand from 1095 carbon steel and clay-hardened.
