Product description:
Katana Schwert zu Ehren des legendären Schwertkämpfers Miyamoto Musashi. Musashi gilt als einer der besten Kämpfer aller Zeiten.
Das Musashi Katana von Toshiro Swords besitzt eine massive Shinogi Zukuri Klinge aus gefaltetem Stahl. Zusätzlich besitzt die Klinge Niku, wodurch sie sehr stabil ist und auch für sehr harte Schnittziele geeignet.
Die Klinge ist scharf geschliffen und hat eine Härte von 60 HRC an der Schneide. Die Klinge ist für einen guten Halt mit 2 Mekugi Holzstiften im Griff verankert. Das Schwert ist für Schnittübungen mit Tatami Matten und Bambus ausgelegt.
Der Griff ist aus Massivholz gefertigt und das schwarze Griffband aus Kunstfaser ist in Katate Maki gewickelt. Eine spezielle Technik, die auch als Kriegswicklung bekannt ist.
Das Schwert ist einfach gehalten, in Schwarz mit einfacher Doppelring-Tsuba. Durch die massive Klinge mit Niku ist es aber trotzdem ein solider Brecher. So wie es Musashi gefallen hätte.

Even the cheapest swords here are a feast for the eyes.
When I decided to add a higher price range to my collection, I ordered this particular piece.
The Musashi blade and the special winding alone look mega. But I wouldn't have thought that a blade could look so beautiful. It looks much more striking in reality than in the photos. As an old metalworker, I'm really amazed at how you can get a steel to look like this. Hats off!!!
The feel and finish are also in a league of their own.
I will treat it as a work of art, because that's what it practically is.
BUT: The blade is as sharp as a razor. And the surface is so perfectly smooth... I'm sure you could cut many a target with it - even the harder ones.
I find the solidity of the blade rather pleasant in terms of weight. You could bring a lot of energy to the target with it.
Conclusion: A real piece of jewellery. If you have the small change and are interested in beautiful, "battle-worthy" swords, you can buy one here with a clear conscience.

It was delivered quickly, but unfortunately the blade is crooked and the tip of the sword got too hot during sharpening and has discoloured, the hardening has gone, so no more 60 HRC at the tip of the sword.
The extensive accessory pack is also not included.
Unfortunately, I can only give 2 stars for such shortcomings.

The sword is simply beautiful, as is the saya. The design of the blade makes it a little heavier than others, but I like that. It suits my stature.
The workmanship is impeccable, the katana sits cleanly and firmly in the saya, the tsukamaki is nice and firm.
The best thing, however, is the blade, straightforwardly elegant, great forging.
Anyone looking for a katana for Tameshigiri will not be disappointed here, performance is top!
