Stumpfes Katana für Schwerttraining.
Die Klinge des Schwertes besteht aus 1060 Kohlenstoff-Stahl. Mit breiter Bo-Hi Hohlkehle für die Gewichtsoptimierung. Auf der Klinge wurde eine Hamon in Notare Form eingeätzt, wie es bei japanischen Trainingsschwertern üblich ist.
Das Stichblatt ist in dem beliebten Doppelring Design von Miyamoto Musashi gestaltet.
Der Griff ist aus Massivholz gefertigt und die breite Klingenangel wird im Griff durch zwei Mekugi gekontert, wodurch eine sehr gute Stabilität entsteht.
Die Schwertscheide ist mit einem Band aus Rattan verziert. Darüber und über den Rest der Schwertscheide wurde mit Ishime Technik lackiert, die eine Tropfenoptik auf der Schwertscheide hervorruft.
Die Ishime Gestaltung ist hervorragend für Gebrauchsschwerter geeignet, weil sich auf ihr kaum Fingerabdrücke bilden.

Each time the delivery was fantastically fast (the postman was there the next day ...!). The swords exceeded my expectations. I am not a professional but the swords make a very good impression and fit well in the hand. The Aoi Domoe are razor sharp!
The Musashi laito Katana has a similar weight, great for practising as the blade is blunt. Only the tip is similarly pointed to the sharp katana.

The sword is beautiful and well made. The Habaki hits the Koiguchi on the Noto from time to time, but that's not too bad, you just have to get used to it and get a feel for it, then you can get it into the saya without jamming 👹 All in all a great sword 👑

Insgesamt ein wirklich sehr gutes Iaito für den Preis.
Zwei Negativpunkte vorweg, zum einen macht die Sageo doch einen sehr minderwertigen Eindruck von der Haptik her, es scheint sich hier um sehr günstige Kunstfaser zu handeln, optisch allerdings durchaus schön und stimmig.
Zum anderen sind die Shito Dome viel zu klein und halten daher nicht mal ansatzweise in der Kurigata, hier muss man also etwas basteln, wenn es einen stört.
Trotzdem sind volle fünf Sterne auf jeden Fall angemessen, denn die relevanten Qualitäten für ein Trainingsschwert wurden hier, besonders in dieser Preisklasse, absolut übererfüllt.
Die Griffwicklung ist wirklich unglaublich straff, hier bewegt sich nichts, das hätte ich so nicht erwartet, schon gar nicht in dieser Preisklasse. Die Ishime-Lackierung der Saya in Eiform ist gut gelungen, sehr griffig und gleitet hervorragend im Obi. Habaki und Koiguchi sind perfekt aufeinander angepasst, in der Preisklasse auch alles andere als selbstverständlich.
Alles in allem ein optisch unaufdringlich ansprechendes Iaito mit sehr guter Verarbeitung für den kleinen Geldbeutel, absolut empfehlenswert.

Ich bin positiv überrascht: Qualität und Anmutung sind für ein Katana dieser Preisklasse außergewöhnlich gut.
Hervorzuheben ist die hochwertige und sehr stabile Griffwicklung, wie ich sie sonst nur von höheren Preiskategorien gewohnt bin.
Das gesamte Design ist sehr stimmig und kommt „live und in Farbe“ noch viel besser rüber.
Das Gewicht (ohne Saya) liegt ganz knapp über der 1000 g- Grenze und ist somit für Übungen noch recht akzeptabel.
Fazit: Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut; klare Kaufempfehlung!
