Die Klinge:
Wurde aus hochwertigem 1060 Kohlenstoffstahl von Hand geschmiedet. Mit einer Härte von 55 HRC durchgehärtet, das sorgt für die top Schnitteigenschaften und Härte der Klinge.

Tsuka (der Griff):
Aus Massivholz gefertigt, für optimale Stabilität und Langlebigkeit. Griff-Einlagen aus echter Rochenhaut. Mit Griffband aus Baumwolle, auf traditionelle Weise gewickelt. 2 Holzstifte für 100%igen Halt der Klinge im Griff. Top Optik dank 2 goldfarbener Zierelemente.
Saya (Schwertscheide):
Aus Holz mit Sageo (Band) aus Baumwolle.
Tsuba (Stichblatt):
Die Tsuba hat das legendäre Musashi-Design mit Doppelring.
Auch Kashira (Beschlag am Griffende) und Fuchi (Metallfassung vor der Tsuba) sind bei diesem Katana detailliert ausgearbeitet.

The Musashi offers a very good price/performance ratio. It is identical to the blue 1045 Katana in some parts, such as the kashira (handle end), but the colour is special and the blade is weighted slightly differently with 1060 carbon steel.
Optics:
The colour selection stands out in every sword stand and those who like to wear natural-coloured gi and hakama will find a suitable colour accent here with the Musashi.
- Tsuka Ito (handle winding) is tight and clean. The ochre colour makes it very attractive for my taste, but that is a matter of opinion
- The kashira (handle end) is made of metal and the details are neatly worked out
- The tsuba (thrusting blade) is also made of metal. It is modelled on the double ring which Musashi himself is said to have worn as a tsuba
- The saya (sheath) has a reddish-brown colour and therefore goes very well with natural colours
- Koiguchi (sheath opening) holds the sword firmly
Cutting performance:
The cutting performance is reasonable for this price. If you want to cut hard targets regularly, you will need some practice
- The factory sharpness was sufficient on my model, but this may also be the case with another model due to the mass production. I will definitely regrind it a little more
- Soft targets were no problem, hard targets required a little more force
- It's a bit front-heavy, so you should have a bit of practice before taking on tough targets. You can deal really powerful blows with it
- The resistance was somewhat high due to the medium sharpness and consequently the transfer of resistance to the centreboard tang was somewhat higher
Shortcoming/Where were savings made?
- No savings were actually made. The sword is a kind of "basic model" and is kept very simple. But you still get visual added value and a usable Shinken (real swords)
Personally, I will give the sword a final polish and then I will test it again. With a little more sharpness, this sword is really a very good product for collectors, advanced and long-time kenshi. For beginners I would say - you can do it, but with caution. Good control requires a bit of practice.
Otherwise a successful tribute to Miyamoto Musashi Kensei.

Ordered on Sunday, delivered on Tuesday, solid neat packaging with "DerShogun" logo, the sword was delivered with a dark red sheath.
The look is as described, the online photos are very good.
The handle is professionally wrapped, all parts fit snugly, nothing wobbles or rattles when struck. The sword sits comfortably in the hand.
The blade is sharply ground, well balanced and can be guided cleanly.
I use this katana for my technique training in the martial arts club. We only use bokken for partner exercises.
For me, this sword is more of a "tool" than a decoration.
You have to learn how to use it and practise regularly. Then it will certainly be great fun to train with it for a long time.
For more money there is certainly more sword, but for my use I have not found anything better in this price range - buy tip

Wie von vielen anderen geschrieben, aber nicht selbstverständlich im Online-Handel: Top-Service und die Qualität des Schwertes ist ebenfalls top, wie angegeben.
Ein schönes Schwert, wuchtig und sieht farblich in Natura noch besser aus als auf den Bildern. Auch die Schärfe hat auf der ganzen Linie überzeugt. Für mich (bin Laie auf dem Gebiet der Schwerter) ist ein Katana aber offensichtlich zu schwer, daher habe ich das Schwert zurückgeschickt und unmittelbar den Kaufpreis erstattet bekommen. Ich werde mir nun ein weiteres Wakizashi bestellen (habe bereits das Aoi Domoe Wakizashi), was mir von Handling deutlich besser liegt.
