Die Klinge:
Wurde aus hochwertigem 1045 Kohlenstoff-Stahl von Hand geschmiedet und mit einer Härte von 45 HRC durchgehärtet, für eine gute Flexibilität und Härte. Sie hat eine geschliffene Hamon und ist auf traditionelle Weise poliert, was die Klinge sehr ansehnlich macht. Die Klinge ist scharf geschliffen!
Der Griff:
Wurde aus Massivholz angefertigt, für eine gute Stabilität und Langlebigkeit. Rotes Griffband aus Baumwolle auf traditionelle Weise gewickelt, dieses Material bietet 100%igen Halt und nimmt Schweiß gut auf. 2 Holzstifte ermöglichen den sicheren Halt der Klinge im Griff. Mit 2 goldfarbenen Zierelemente versehen, Motiv: Drachen
Die Saya (Schwertscheide):
Aus Holz, rot lackiert. Mit rotem Sageo (Band) aus Baumwolle und goldfarbene Shito-Dome (Verzierung an der Ösen-Öffnung).
Auch Kashira (Beschlag am Griffende) und Fuchi sind bis ins kleinste Detail ausgearbeitet und verziert.

I can only agree with the previous speaker, I wanted a Katana with red winding, there are also some but considerably more expensive then, for the price an absolutely beautiful and good sword, winding tight, nothing wobbles, sharpness of the blade I have also seen much worse for more money and with extra advertised sharpness, I would also immediately access again without remorse and without thinking.

Great sword, the quality is, at the price ... really convincing ... everyone should grab it.
I have some katana here that were sold as "sharp" ... the product description of this sword is correct, it is really sharp ...
What I do not like is the Tsuba, it is not as shown in the pictures only black (aged), but the brass was ..aged and the elevations processed with sandpaper also the edge is sanded at each "corner" ..so that the brass comes to light, I will probably rework there with a black matt lacquer.
Nevertheless, full marks!

As we only use bokken for training (katori), we had to get one made of metal.
Just tested it in the garden. So 7cm young maple is no problem for the Katana !!!

You are experienced in handling a sword, so the sword has withstood the strain without any problems. However, we strongly recommend that you do not use it for solid branches. Even minor inaccuracies when making a cut can cause the blade to bend or break. The resin from the plants can also damage the blade.

If you are looking for a high-quality decorative katana that can also be used for light cutting tests (paper, PTB bottles), this is the best choice for less than €100. The workmanship is clean, the sword is traditionally mounted, all parts fit tightly.
The sword is only suitable to a limited extent for demanding cutting exercises (bamboo, mats, etc.). A harder blade (1060, 1095, spring steel) is recommended for this purpose.
This sword is still a weapon, and feels like one when you draw and hold it.
For more money you get more cut performance or more decor. In any case, it's better than my "first" one from the USA and only cost half as much. I'm going to order another blue one 🙂
