Il ne fait aucun doute que la lame est l'\u00e9l\u00e9ment le plus exigeant du point de vue artisanal dans le sabre de samoura\u00ef. Mais sur un sabre ferm\u00e9, la lame n'est pas du tout visible.<br \/>\nEn Europe, on accorde en outre une grande importance aux tsuba, kashira, fuchi et menuki. Lorsqu'on les regarde de pr\u00e8s, ce sont de tr\u00e8s beaux \u00e9l\u00e9ments d\u00e9cor\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re artistique.<br \/>\nLa saya ne retient gu\u00e8re l'attention au sens large du terme. Il n'est pour ainsi dire qu'un moyen pour que la lame puisse \"se loger\" quelque part.<br \/>\nDans ce contexte, le fourreau est l'\u00e9l\u00e9ment le plus grand et le plus visible d'un sabre ferm\u00e9.
