Bound Tatami Omote mat for Tameshigiri cutting exercises. The mat measures 108 x 200 cm when rolled out and is therefore considerably larger than most mats available on the market.

Continuous fibres:<\/b>
You can't always see it at first glance in online pictures, but many inexpensive tatami omote have a joint in the centre where two pieces of mat are sewn together. This is because such mats are sewn together from 2 bath mats.

Traditionally rolled:<\/b>
The Toshiro Swords mats are rolled in the traditional way (with the end folded over). Many other manufacturers do not use this method because it is much more time-consuming than simply rolling up the mat. However, the traditional method gives the mat additional stability and makes it easier to attach to the Tameshigiri stand.<\/p>\n
Binding made from hemp fibre:<\/b>
The hemp fibre binding is an important safety feature for your sword! If you hit the binding with the sword (and this will happen sooner or later), the sword will simply cut the fibre. With other mats, the binding is often made of wire for cost reasons and scratches the blade when cutting.<\/p>\n

The dimensions of the mat have been chosen so that it can be optimally watered in a dn110 pipe with minimal water consumption. The mat is approx. 20% longer than most mats on the market, which allows for additional cuts.<\/p>\n
