\nVery well made, sharp training sword for Iaido.<\/p>\n
The sword has a sharp blade made of T10 steel, which has been differentially hardened. The hardness of the cutting edge is approx. 60 HRC and the blade is suitable for cutting exercises.<\/p>\n
However, the sword was developed for kata training in the course of Iaido, or Iai-jutsu.<\/p>\n
Particular emphasis was placed on the details, which are often unsuitable for training with modern swords:
\n- The grip is just as firm as with Japanese Iaito
\n- The handle length has been adapted to Japanese dimensions and corresponds to the standard at 25.8cm
\n- The saya is designed in the same way (shape and kurigata position) as Japanese training swords
\n- The sword is available with different blade lengths<\/p>\n
The blade has been kept relatively light for good handling. The weight without saya, for example, is approx. 950 grams for 2.3 Shaku, approx. 1020 grams for 2.45 Shaku and approx. 1050 grams for 2.6 Shaku.<\/p>\n
The tsuba motif is gan (\u96c1), meaning wild geese. A popular motif for antique cutlasses and perfect for this beautiful, classic sword.<\/p>\n
