Very high quality replica of a Japanese military sword from the Second World War.
\nThe blade is made of folded steel and was forged by hand in the Shinogi Zukuri style. It has also been differentially hardened with clay hardening. It has a beautiful hamon in suguha form (straight) and was finished by hand, which accentuates the hamon well. The Maru blade has an attractive pattern due to the folded steel and the area above the shinogi is polished to a high lustre. The steel used has a carbon content of more than 0.7 per cent and has been hardened to 55 HRC at the cutting edge.<\/p>\n
The Gunto<\/a> Saya is sheathed in metal and has a protective leather sheath. The handle resembles a Tachi<\/a> Handle, the binding corresponds to the Japanese standard with integrated Hishigami.
