Part of the three-part Daimyo series. Each sword in the series is dedicated to a lord of Japanese history.
This sword depicts O. Nobunaga. He was one of the most powerful lords in his time, when the warlords of Japan fought for control of the country. He became famous through countless battles and victories and thus secured himself a place in history.
In 1582, at the age of 48, Nobunaga was the victim of an ambush and chose death by seppuku after being severely wounded.<\/p>\n
Blade:
Forged from carbon steel and through-hardened to a hardness of 45 HRC.
With a blood groove for weight optimisation and ground hamon.
The blade is sharp!<\/p>\n
Handle:
Made from solid wood.
Red grip tape made of cotton, this material offers 100%igen grip.
2 wooden pins hold the blade firmly in the handle for life.<\/p>\n
Saya (sword scabbard):
Made of wood, painted black.
Red sageo (ribbon) made of cotton and gold-coloured shito domes (decoration at the eyelet opening).<\/p>\n
