Part of the three-part Daimyo series. Each sword in the series is dedicated to a lord of Japanese history.<\/p>\n
This sword shows Toyotomi Hideyoshi: born in 1537 as the son of a farmer, he became one of the most powerful people of his time. His story began as a soldier, but thanks to his exceptional strength in battle and his negotiating skills, he quickly made a career for himself. He became daimyo under O. Nobunaga. After Nobunaga's assassination, he marched with his army towards Kyoto to seize power in the empire.
Hideyoshi was known for the impressive helmet he wore in battle.<\/p>\n
Blade:
High-quality carbon steel, through-hardened to 45 HRC.
Incl. blood groove for weight optimisation and sharpened hamon. Sharply ground!<\/p>\n
Saya (sword scabbard):
Made of wood, painted black.
Sageo (ribbon) made of cotton and gold-coloured shito dome (decoration at the eyelet opening).<\/p>\n
Tsuba:
Shows Hideyoshi in his battle armour.<\/p>\n
