Blunt katana for sword training.
The blade of the sword is made of 1060 carbon steel. With a wide Bo-Hi fuller for weight optimisation. A hamon has been etched onto the blade in a notare shape, as is customary with Japanese training swords.<\/p>\n
The blade features the popular double ring design by Miyamoto Musashi.<\/p>\n
The handle is made of solid wood and the wide blade tang is countered in the handle by two mekugi, which provides very good stability.<\/p>\n
The scabbard is decorated with a band of rattan. Above and over the rest of the scabbard, Ishime lacquer was applied, which creates a droplet effect on the scabbard.
The Ishime design is ideal for utility swords because it hardly leaves any fingerprints.<\/p>\n
