Sakura means cherry blossom. This motif is an important element of Asian culture.
\nThe blade<\/b> was forged from high carbon steel in the traditional Shinogi Zukuri style. It is a Maru Kitae blade that has been fully hardened to approx. 55 HRC. It is solid and a real cutting tool. You notice this immediately when you hold the sword in your hand. The blade is extremely sharp. It is completely sharpened and has no ricasso towards the handle, as is often the case with other swords.
\nThe handle<\/b> of the sword is made of solid wood and decorated with genuine, red-coloured seed. The handle has 2 mekugi that reliably hold the blade. The handle winding is made of fine cotton.
\nThe scabbard<\/b>\u00a0has a high-quality Ishime style with a black lacquer finish and a thick, woven Sageo strap in black.<\/p>\n
