There is no doubt that the blade is the most technically demanding element of a samurai sword. On a closed sword, however, the blade is not visible at all.<br \/>\nIn Europe, great importance is also attached to tsuba, kashira, fuchi and menuki. On closer inspection, these are very beautiful, artistically decorated elements.<br \/>\nIn the broadest sense, the saya hardly receives any attention. It is more or less just a means to an end, so that the blade \"fits\" somewhere.<br \/>\nThe scabbard is the largest visible element of a closed sword.
