We offer a sharpening service for samurai swords.

We offer this for samurai swords from modern series productions of brands such as Cold Steel, Skyjiro, Toshiro Swords etc. If you are not sure whether your sword comes from a series production, you are welcome to contact us before placing an order.

Sharpening gives the blade an attractive, even sharpness.
When sharpening, the blade is provided with a cutting bevel, which simplifies subsequent sharpening.

Decorative swords and swords that are unique and do not come from modern series production are not sharpened.
The sharpening service includes the sharpening of the blade. No repair or polishing work is included in the price.

We prefer to sharpen swords that have been purchased in our shop. This is because we can be sure that the quality of workmanship is right.
We can also sharpen swords from other suppliers. However, please only send us swords that you are sure have been properly hardened.
We cannot accept any liability for damage caused to blades from third-party suppliers due to poor workmanship.

If a sword is purchased in our shop and sharpening is ordered at the same time, we will be happy to sharpen it. If a cancellation is exercised for the sword, the amount for the sharpening will not be refunded because the service has been provided.

    I have sharpened my sword (a Gunto) at Samuraischwert.kaufen and
    engraved. Great service, nice support, I was given a personalised
    Draft for the engraving submitted, small changes were implemented immediately
    and the sword arrived the very next day freshly maintained and oiled at the
    at home! First test: I attach a thread of sewing thread to the
    Ceiling that hangs loose and slightly down (a good exercise). My new
    sharpened sword cuts it effortlessly on the first cut.
    To summarise, the sharpening and grinding service has made the product very
    upgraded. I am completely satisfied. I give it 5 stars for that!

    Wow so sharp that it splits a loose string !
    I would like to do that too.
    But I'm still a beginner and will first try to get to grips with the standard blade.
    But I will have it resharpened and polished when I'm ready.
    It's great that this service exists.

    I was sceptical as to whether it would work, but it actually did and put a smile on my face.
    Now my blades are as sharp as I wanted them to be.

As we can only be sure that the steel has been properly hardened for our own brands, we also accept products from other manufacturers, but we cannot accept any liability for damage caused by inadequate hardening of the blade during sharpening.
