Made of wood
Bokken wooden swords are mainly used in everyday training.
They are light and do not put unnecessary strain on the joints, which is particularly important at the start of training.
The quality of the wood is an important factor for these swords. For a long time, we no longer offered bokken because the quality of the wood available worldwide has deteriorated considerably in recent years.
We have now found a reliable partner in Japan and are pleased to be able to offer you a selection of high-quality wooden training swords again.

Wooden training swords are known in the West as bokken.
In Japan itself, the term bokuto is more widespread.
Basically, both terms mean exactly the same thing, because they are made up of the Japanese terms boku for wood and ken, or to, which both mean sword.
