Product description:
The wire brush included has brass bristles. Brass is softer than most other metals, but hard enough to remove rust.
The brush is therefore suitable for the superficial removal of rust from almost all blades. All you need to do is brush over the rust with the brush.

The sandpaper is used in the second step.
The set contains a total of 20 sheets of sandpaper, which can be used both dry and as wet sandpaper.
4 sheets each in grit sizes 1000, 2000, 3000, 5000 and 7000.

The grit sizes 1000 - 3000 are required for advanced rust formation and satinised blades in order to remove existing rust and straighten rust spots.
The grit sizes 5000 and 7000 are required to remove light rust deposits or to remove traces of the coarser grit sizes.
After wet grinding with 7000 grit, it is sufficient to treat the blade with Uchiko or metal polish to achieve an acceptable finish.
Dimensions per sheet: approx. 23 x 9.5 cm

This first aid kit is intended for removing rust from modern standard blades. It does not replace a multi-stage polishing process by a specialist. Please use the set with care, as the components can cause scratches and irreparable damage to the blade if handled incorrectly.
