Product description:
The Nishikigoi (European short form: Koi) is one of the most important symbols of Asian mythology.
The reputation is based on the legend that the fish conquered the legendary Huang Ho River upstream and that the gods were so impressed by its willpower and strength that the koi was transformed into a mighty dragon at the end of its journey. The Nishikigoi therefore stands for everything that has to do with strength.
Strong carbon steel with a high carbon content was chosen for the blade steel. It was forged in the traditional Shinogi Zukuri style. It is a Maru Kitae blade that has been fully hardened to approx. 55 HRC.
Particularly high-quality materials were used for the sword. The elegant look is reminiscent of a museum exhibit. The included stand with the key data of the sword rounds off this impression.

A really good sword.
Even in higher price ranges you rarely find such a beautiful tsuba. The koi is beautifully polished and really looks great.
The blade is sharp, stable and the matt polished surface gives an aesthetic overall impression.
The Tsuka-ito is not made of cotton, which at first caused an unfamiliar feeling, but now after several cuts does not show the usual wear and tear of cotton.
The saya came with a delivery damage (horn on the saya chipped)
However, the service department offered me several options for a solution and implemented them just as quickly as the original delivery.
Gladly again

I bought the katana and the wakizashi.
Really two beautiful swords, with a small optical mark in my opinion.
The handle winding is wine red and the saya is bright red. Why?
In addition, a synthetic fabric has been used, I would prefer a natural one, such as cotton or silk, as these have a better grip.
Otherwise everything is TOP, especially for the price.
