Japanese-made katana from the 21st century. An ideal Iaido sword or for cutting exercises (Tameshigiri).

The blade was crafted by master blacksmith Morikazu in 2004.

Omote side: 薩州住源盛和作 = Made by Minamoto Morikazu in Sasshū (Satsuma)

Information about the blacksmith:
Morikazu's real name is Kazumasa Fujita and he lived in Satsuma in the province of Kagoshima.
He is a student of the master Minamoto Moriatsu.
He is a member of the All Japan Swordsmiths Association (AJSA) for contemporary swordsmiths in Japan.
Information about the mount:
The blade is mounted in a classic katana mount. With dark brown saya with han seed, i.e. a seed inlay on the side of the opening. The grip is made of black leather for a good grip.
This sword is currently still in Japan. We will take care of the import handling (all costs including customs are included in the price) if you decide to buy it.
With the sword you will receive a copy of the Japanese weapons registration, which confirms that the sword has been registered as a genuine sword in Japan.
