Part of the Daimyo series. Each sword in the series is dedicated to a lord of Japanese history.
Tokugawa Ieyasu was a very important figure in Japanese history. He was one of the three unifiers of the Japanese empire with Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The three ended the warlike Sengoku period one after the other through different achievements and created the longest period of peace in the history of Japan. Tokugawa Ieyasu founded the Tokugawa shogunate with Edo as its capital after the preparatory work of the other unifiers, thus establishing the Edo period (1603-1868).
Blade:
High-quality carbon steel with a hardness of 45 HRC. Sharp ground!
Saya (sword scabbard):
Made of wood, painted black.
Gold-coloured sageo (ribbon).
