Tadahiro was born in 1614 as the first son of the legendary Tadayoshi (1st generation), the founder of the Hizen blacksmith tradition.
When Tadahiro was 19 years old, he took over the management of the workshop as the second head of the family after the death of his father.
He received the title Ōmi Daijō at the age of 28 and made swords until the age of 80.
Tadahiro is considered one of the most outstanding swordsmiths of the Hizen tradition.

The blade is in excellent condition, completely without blemishes.
The jigane shows the konuka-hada structure typical of Hizen katana, and the jinie and chikei are also visible. The hamon is a fine suguha with deep nioi and sunagashi.
The offer includes two mounts. A simple Shirasaya mount and a very nice Uchigatana mount.
The white silk wrapping (Tsukaito) is executed in the Tsumami-maki style and harmonises perfectly with the black Ishime-lacquered sheath. The metalwork is masterfully crafted, as befits a work by Tadahiro.
The NBTHK has ascribed Tokubetsu status to this sword and issued a certificate to confirm this.
