Menuki hilt decoration from Japan for a samurai sword.
The motif is Yumi, the Japanese bow. The picture shows a Yumi bow, as used in Japanese archery Kyudo, with quiver and arrows (Ya). The bow was an important weapon for the samurai.
Set of two individual Menuki.
This set is made of silver and crafted by hand. The surface of the menuki is gold-plated. Beautifully crafted to perfection, as you would expect from Japanese products.
