Product description:
Bokken training sword in the traditional style of Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu.
As is usual in this style, the bokuto has a flowing transition from the handle to the blade, the tip has a characteristic shape and there is no tsuba.
With its light weight of just over 500 grams (approx. 510 grams), the sword is very well suited as a training sword and does not put excessive strain on your joints even during long training sessions. The high-quality white oak wood is also robust and stable.
The wood for this bokken from PTL-Sports is sourced in Australia. This makes a huge difference to most bokken on the market. This is because the wood for most bokken comes from Indonesia and Malaysia, where the local rainforest is cut down to produce the wood.
A very solid training sword for a comparatively favourable price.
