Blade:
Made from high-quality steel. The continuous blade hardness of 52 HRC (+/- 1 HRC, as it is a handmade sword) ensures perfect cutting properties and blade stability. The blade has a blood groove for weight optimisation and a ground hamon.
It is sharply honed!
Tsuka (the handle):
Made of solid wood for stability and durability. Wrapped with cotton grip tape in the traditional way. 2 wooden pins (bamboo pins) allow the blade to be held firmly in the handle. Top look thanks to 2 golden decorative elements.
Saya (sword scabbard):
Made of wood, with sageo (ribbon) made of cotton. Golden shito domes (decoration at the eyelet opening).
