High-quality sword in honour of the well-known anime and manga series Rurouni Kenshin, which has now even been made into real films and is available on Netflix, for example. The sword bears the name Sakabat? and has a blade with the cutting edge on the inside of the bend. The sword is used by the main character Himura Kenshin (or Himura Shinta) and the special design is based on his personal story.
The centrepiece of MAS swords is the Japanese blade made from L6 high-performance steel. This is then finished in South Korea and assembled with the other components to form a complete sword. The result is a sword of the highest quality at an unrivalled price.
L6 is a modern industrial steel with the best properties: it is light yet stable, hard but not brittle and hardly bends at all.
These are all properties that one would wish for in a sword, but which other types of steel do not offer in this combination.
L6 is difficult to process and this is precisely where MAS' special skills lie. Because heat treatment resulting in a usable, differential-hardened blade has so far only been achieved by the well-known master blacksmith Howard Clark and MAS.
The other components of the MAS swords are naturally also of the highest quality. The focus is on the cutting ability of the blades.
